ALVTA Roofing & Construction (“ALVTA,” “we,” “us”) offers a neighbor referral discount (the “Offer”) to a new customer who presents a valid ALVTA referral number and later signs a qualifying roofing contract with us. These Neighbor Offer Terms (the “Terms”) control the Offer. Submitting the form, scanning a yard sign, or requesting a visit is not a contract for work and is not a guarantee that we will replace your roof.
1. The Offer
If you qualify, ALVTA will deduct $500 from the signed contract price of a complete tear-off and installation of the primary dwelling’s roof (the “$500 Discount”).
A smaller discount of $200 (the “Lesser Discount”) may apply to a limited scope described in section 5. The Lesser Discount is not automatic.
The discount is an ALVTA company credit against our contract price. It has no cash value, is not paid out, and is not a rebate check.
2. Referral number — required
You must provide a valid ALVTA referral number to receive any discount under this Offer. The number is printed on the yard sign and in the URL when you scan the QR code (format ALVTA- followed by letters and numbers).
Provide it at first contact: on this form, by stating it on the first phone call before a visit is scheduled, or by scanning a QR that already contains the number.
If the number is missing, inactive, mistyped, or given only after we have already issued a written proposal or a contract for that address, the Offer does not apply. We will not add it after the fact.
3. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and the owner, or an authorized decision-maker, for the property where the work would be done.
The Offer is for a different household than the person or host whose number you are using. You cannot use your own number on your own house. You cannot use a number on the same address that is tied to the code owner.
The property must be in an area ALVTA actually serves. We may decline a visit outside our service area.
4. What qualifies for $500
The $500 Discount applies only to a complete tear-off and installation of the roof on the primary house — old materials removed down to the deck (or as specified in the signed proposal), then a new roof system installed by ALVTA under a signed replacement contract.
Partial slopes, a few courses of shingles, flashing-only work, and “while we are here” extras do not turn a lesser job into a complete tear-off.
Whether the roof needs a full replacement is decided after an on-site inspection. These Terms do not require ALVTA to sell you a replacement.
5. Overlay, garage, and smaller roofs
An overlay (new shingles installed over an existing roof) is not a complete tear-off and does not qualify for the $500 Discount. ALVTA is not obligated to sell or perform overlay work.
A garage, a small detached structure, a limited roof, or another lesser scope that ALVTA agrees in writing to perform may qualify for the Lesser Discount of $200 if — and only if — you presented a valid referral number at first contact.
The Lesser Discount is applied only if ALVTA confirms the scope after inspection and writes it into the signed contract. If we do not take the job, no discount is owed.
6. Work that does not qualify
The Offer does not apply to inspections, repairs, leak patches, ventilation-only work, gutter-only work, maintenance, emergency tarping, construction that is not a roof replacement, or any job that is not a signed ALVTA roofing contract for qualifying work.
If the visit leads only to a repair or to no work, there is no discount and no credit for a later job unless you still have a valid number and you present it again at first contact for that later job, subject to these Terms and to the one-discount limits below.
7. One per person, household, and house
Limit one Neighbor Offer discount per person, per household, and per property address.
If two people submit for the same house, or the same person submits twice, the first recorded contact with a valid referral number keeps the Offer. Later codes on that phone or address do not stack and do not replace the first one.
A person who already received a Neighbor Offer discount from ALVTA is not eligible for another, including at a different property, unless ALVTA agrees in writing.
8. Cannot be combined with other offers
The Offer cannot be combined with any other ALVTA discount, promotion, coupon, price match, “good neighbor” adjustment, or referral credit.
It cannot be added on top of a price that was already reduced for any other reason. If more than one promotion could apply, ALVTA will apply only this Offer or only the other promotion — not both — and may choose the one that fits the contract.
Manufacturer promotions or material rebates, if any exist and if ALVTA participates, are separate from this Offer and only apply if the signed proposal says so. They do not increase the $500 or $200 figures.
9. How the discount is applied
The discount is deducted from the contract price in the signed proposal for qualifying work. We do not raise the price to cover it.
It is applied once, at contract, to that job only. It does not carry to change orders, extra squares, or later projects unless the signed contract says otherwise.
If the contract is cancelled, the discount is cancelled. If the scope changes from a full tear-off of the house to a lesser job, the $500 Discount does not apply; the Lesser Discount may apply only as section 5 allows.
10. Timing
You must sign a qualifying ALVTA contract within 90 days of our first recorded contact that includes your valid referral number. After that window the Offer expires for that contact.
Weather, permits, material lead times, and what we find under the old roof can move the start date. They do not extend the sign-by date unless ALVTA writes an extension.
11. First recorded contact wins
The referral number that is on the first recorded request for that phone or job address is the number that counts.
Switching to a different yard sign later does not change who referred the job and does not create a second discount.
12. Inspection first — this is not a contract
Sending the form, scanning a QR, or talking on the phone is a request for contact. It is not a bid, not a price, and not an agreement to perform work.
Any price is only in a written ALVTA proposal. Work starts only under a signed contract. We may decline the job after we see the house.
13. Not an insurance offer
This Offer is a company discount from ALVTA. It is not an insurance benefit, a deductible program, or an incentive to file a claim.
An insurer does not owe more because this discount exists. Do not represent this Offer as something “insurance will cover.” ALVTA does not file claims for you and does not promise what a carrier will pay.
14. Verification
ALVTA may verify the referral number, that it is active, that you are not the code owner, and that the address and phone are not already tied to another request.
We may ask for a photo ID, proof you can authorize work at the property, or a walkthrough of the roof. Refusal may void the Offer.
15. Void if misused
The Offer is void if the number is invented, copied from a job that is not yours to refer, used on your own house, stacked, transferred for cash, or used with false contact information.
ALVTA may mark a request invalid, refuse the discount, and refuse the job if we reasonably believe the Offer is being abused.
16. Changes and end of the program
ALVTA may change or end this program at any time. The Terms posted on this page when we first record your valid referral number are the Terms that apply to that request, unless a signed contract says otherwise.
Ending the program does not create a discount for jobs that never qualified or never signed.
17. No extra warranty
These Terms do not add a workmanship warranty, a manufacturer warranty, or a lifetime promise. Warranties, if any, are only in the signed contract and in the manufacturer’s written terms for the products actually installed.
18. Limit of this promotion
ALVTA’s obligation under these Terms is only to apply a qualifying discount to a qualifying signed contract, or to apply no discount if you do not qualify.
The Offer does not make ALVTA responsible for another company’s work, for insurance decisions, or for damage that already exists in the house.
19. Privacy
We use the name, phone, email, address, referral number, and notes you send in order to contact you, inspect, propose work, and run the referral program. See our Privacy page. Questions: krlz@alvta.com or (313) 487-5969.
20. Law; void where prohibited
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where the roof is located, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The Offer is void where prohibited.
If a court finds one clause unenforceable, the rest still apply.
21. Acceptance
By submitting the neighbor form, checking that you agree, or telling us to proceed with a visit under a referral number, you confirm that you have read these Terms and that you provided a valid referral number at first contact.
